My professional animal care began a little over 25 years ago with the wolf at the St. Louis Wolf Sanctuary established by Marlin Perkins. The center has since evolved into the Wild Canid Survival & Research Center. Working with these beautiful animals was an experience I will never forget.  To loveand care for any animal is to open your soul to experience life at another level.

Growing up, my brothers were often responsible for my care. Usually, when they were accountable for me I found myself with the family pet, either our own or their friends. I developed an incredible bond with these non-human caregivers.  This is now a deep commitment and respect for all life; for all those that are not of our species and can not speak for themselves. To me Ghandi’s statement that, "A civilization can be judged by the way it treats its animals" explains one of my deepest core beliefs.

Why use a professional pet sitter?
A neighbor or friend is an alternative, but their focus is not truly on your pet companions.

Why is it better to use a pet sitter rather than a kennel or boarding?
Your pet stays in their own environment, reducing their stress and the strangeness and uncertainty of a place they do not know, filled with smells that may cause anxiety.

As your pet care professional, your companions will be treated as I would treat and advocate for my own.  I will work to ensure that your criteria and specifications for care are met. It is my goal to bring you peace of mind when you are on vacation or unable to get home.

I have owned and/or cared for many types of animals including: several types of birds, bunnies, cats, chickens, dogs, ferrets, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, iguanas, other reptiles and snakes.  Additionally, I have had experience with alpacas, goats, horses and sheep.
