Policies


Estimates:

Estimated fees will be discussed as the need arises. Fees for any additional services will be billed and are due within five days of client return.


Minimum visits:

All pets must be seen a minimum of once per day (for cats; birds; small animals); Dogs will need a minimum of 2 times a day, preferably 3.

Emergency and Changes to contract:

Emergency availability may have additional charges applied. All charges are subject to change without notice. Changes you request to a contract may also be charged additional fees.


Sick Pets:

If your pet needs close observation, it would be best to board her/him in a veterinary kennel; however I will take in an occasional border for care. If your pet needs medication or has special needs, I will be happy to accommodate those needs. You are responsible to fully disclose all conditions that may impact your pet’s health. Emergency visits and hours spent coordinating a sick pets needs will be billed subject to the needs and the requirements to maintain your pets life. A refundable deposit may be required if your pet is sick or in failing health on your departure.

Veterinarian information:

Your Veterinarian must be informed that I will be taking care of your pet. In emergency situations, I will act in your pet’s best interests at all times. Should an emergency arise, the first criteria will be to stabilize your pet. Afterwards, you will be contacted for further direction. Your veterinarian should have all your billing and payment information as well.

 

Disclosure of pet shares / visiting friends:

You must notify me if you plan on having other people check your house and/or check in on your pet. I take your property safety seriously and will contact the police if I believe anyone is on your property without your knowledge or authorization.


Payment & Refunds:
50% is due on booking with full payment due the day prior to your departure. For regular visits, books of visits can be purchased at a discount. Fees for service are due prior to service unless other arrangements are requested in advance. Monthly pet walking fees due on the first of the month.

Cancellation terms:

Cancellation fees are determined at the time of cancellation. Please be aware that when you book our time, we may therefore turn away other business to reserve time for you. That time may not be recovered should you cancel. Cancellations with less than 24-hour notice will have no refunds. Please realize you are booking my time and once booked, your needs have been prioritized within my schedule. If you return early, I may not be able to recover that time with a new booking so I offer no refunds or credits in these circumstances.

Refunds & Cancellations are as follows:
0-48 Hrs --- Payment in full is charged (no refunds)
2-7 Days --- 20% of Service total is due (80% refund)
8+ Days --- No charge, refund in full Cancellation of holiday services made within 10 days of holiday – no refund; cancellation within 20 days of holiday – 50% refund.


Subject to availability:

All services are subject to availability and scheduling. I will make my best effort to accommodate all requests, especially emergencies.


Subject to change:

All policies and rates are subject to changes without notice.


Reservation confirmation:

Your reservation will be confirmed within 24 hours of the booking. If you have not heard from me you may contact me by either phone of email. If there is a change to your travel / away plans, you must contact me immediately.


Extended absence:

In the event you have to be away longer than planned it is mandatory that you contact us immediately! Extensions of service must be made by direct confirmation (phone.) The well being of your pet depends on you keeping me informed of all changes at all times.


Keys:

Keys will be returned within seven days of the end of your service, in person or by certified mail. However, it is recommended your key remain in your file for convenience in future use of my service, thus enable telephone reservations and emergency visits. Key pick up/drop off charges ($10.00) will be applied for all subsequent visits if the key is returned.


Checking in while away:

You may call to check on your pet during your, please leave a message and your call will be returned promptly. Alternatively, you may also contact me by email.


Return Home calls:

Please remember to call when you have returned home safely! We ask that you do so within 30 minutes of your return. This will confirm the safety and well being of your pets. Please call at ANY to let me know that you have returned.

Payment methods:

Returned check:

A charge of $25 will be imposed for each check returned by the client's bank regardless of the reason.  Returned checks of over $50 in value will be reported per the statutes of the state of Oregon.


Late fees:

If payment is not received in full within five calendar days of the invoice date, there will be a $15.00 late fee per month. Interest charges will be assessed on the total outstanding amount at the rate of 12.0% per annum, or 1-% monthly.
